Star Clippers: A Look at the Bali Eastbound Route on the Star Clipper, Pink Beach

‎After a short one-hour sail from Komodo National Park to the other side of the island, we arrives at Pink Beach on Tuesday afternoon. Pink beach, or Pantai Merah is one of the only seven such beaches on the whole planet. The amazing colors come from microscopic animals called Foraminifera, which leave a red pigment on the coral reefs. Tiny fragments of red stained coral breaks off and combine with silvery sand to produce the glorious pink shade viable from the shoreline. Pink Beach is bounded by turquoise blue sea and offers spectacular views of the surrounding area, including small islands, hills and mountains. It is said to be the best spot for snorkeling in Komodo National Park. Guest snorkel right off the beach.

Insider tip: Don't forget your water shoes for this beach itinerary.
