• A stop in Wera, where guests will have the opportunity to see the `Pinisi’ traditional Indonesian sailing ships, with their long, elegant bow, towering twin masts, streamlined wooden hull and seven billowing sails.
• An excursion to Mount Bromo, an active volcano in East Java, 7.641 ft., set in the middle of a vast plain and protected nature reserve known as the “Sea of Sand.”
• A visit to the Borobudur Temple Compound, In the southern part of central Java, built in the 8th and 9th centuries, and one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world.
• A stop at the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan water temple on Bali, built in 1663. Resembling a vast, layered Christmas Tree the temple complex is on the shores of Lake Bratan, with its cold, tropical climate, and the temple complex is used for offerings ceremonies to the Balinese water, lake and river goddess, Dewi Danu.
Star Clippers is returning to Asia with 18 unique voyages to the Far East visiting Malaysia and Singapore. These special 7-night sailings on the Star Clipper begin in December 2016 and run through April 2017, with roundtrip itineraries starting from Phuket and Singapore.

Flying Clipper will be the biggest and the most ambitious of the Clipper fleet to date, carrying 300 passengers, measuring 8770 tons GRT and powered by 35 sails totaling more than 6.350 m2. It is a near replica of the dramatic France II ordered in 1911 at La Gironde shipyard Bordeaux, which was the largest square rig sailing ship ever built. SPV Flying Clipper will be the world’s largest square rigger and the largest ship of its kind afloat today.

Star Clippers is happy to present a voyage through the historical Suez Canal on the Star Clipper departing from Athens on October 29th, encompassing stops in Greece (Santorini, Rhodes) and Egypt (Alexandria, Port Said, Sharm El Sheik) and traveling through the Suez Canal twice during the 9-night sailing adventure.

Star Clippers will operate a winter season in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore from December 2016 to April 2017. Star Clipper will end its summer season in the Mediterranean and sail via the Suez Canal and Sri Lanka to its winter home port of Phuket, where it will operate seven-night round trip cruises on two different routes from December 2, 2016, as well as some voyages to Singapore. Star Clippers will be sailing in Indonesian waters for the first time in 2017, offering a choice of 19 departures between May 6 and October 14, 2017 with sailings of 7, 10, 11 and 14 nights, from Bali and Singapore, including Bali round trips and itineraries from Bali to Singapore and reverse on the Star Clipper.
