Star Clippers: Captain Mueller is Back!

Captain Mueller, now retired, is one of the company’s best-loved characters! He has sailed Star Clippers’ ships all over the world during a long and illustrious career at sea. His lectures cover varying subjects including tall ship history, celestial navigation and the challenges of sailing big ships today. He will be on board the Royal Clipper for the Barbados to Lisbon crossing this April 2017.

The charismatic captain will give talks to guests, many of whom sailed with him in the past. Lectures will cover varying subjects including tall ship history, celestial navigation and the challenges of sailing big ships today.

Should Captain Muller require a Teaching Assistant to provide additional accounts of real-life experiences and adventures at sea, thus ensuring passengers receive an enjoyable, accurately detailed and informative lectures.

Fully qualified as a 'professional standard' volunteer crew member sailing tall ships in UK coastal and European waters on 2, 3, 5 mast gaff and square-rigged vessels. Since an inaugual voyage aboard UK Sail Training Association schooner STS 'Sir Winston Churchill' learning from "Expert" Master Mariners. I consider myself priviledged to have not only served with but also to have known Captains Pat Wyatt, Barry 'peanuts' Swindles, David Mattingley, Mike Forward,

Chris 'mind what truck..?' Blake, Geoff Kerr and Gerhart Licksett. On the grounds of not only been-there, done-that, got-the-T.shirt (which 16 years later still fits) I would ship even if I had to swim from shore to be a crew member aboard a Star Clippers vessel.
